Today's wrinkle stays with the bakery (still key lime season) and continues the stewardship arc. Use (001), time (002), knowing what data you hold and how it moves (003). This one is the other half of stewardship: knowing which contracts govern which products, features, and data.
You don't need a large in-house legal team to clear this bar. You need someone to own legal and compliance. If no one owns it, that itself is the flag. Please fix!
Start with the bare minimum. Do you know whether your product is governed by an end-user license agreement? When you shipped an add-on feature, did it get its own feature-specific terms; and did it need them? Or are you now carrying overlapping documents that each claim to govern the same thing?
Duplicative agreements aren't harmless. When two documents cover the same subject and don't perfectly agree, you've manufactured your own ambiguity - and ambiguity gets read against you later.
Why does this matter if I'm the bakery? Because I'm trusting you with my data and with the services I use to serve my own downstream customers. If you can't keep a clean, basic legal and compliance documentation suite, why would I believe you know what you promised me or that you'll honor it? And you're better positioned to know what governs, because it's your company. Full stop. It isn't reasonable to make me crawl your portals guessing which documents govern, which are superseded, and which are dead links.
The fix: someone owns the contract inventory: the living map of which agreement governs which product, feature, and dataset, with effective dates and superseded versions marked.

Stewardship isn't only knowing what data you hold and where it moves (003). It's knowing what contracts govern what.
Wrinkle 005 next: when your "contract" is actually a manual โฆ and why that's a problem.
